I started using Allstate on my last boat and they beat everyones quotes. They kept premium increases minimal at my estimation even though I had two claims on the sails! Left them when I sold that boat and on buying my new one they wouldn't cover me unless they had a bundled deal to include house and cars. Then I found Ski Safe and they have been great.

I used Allstate for a couple years and from my research they had the best response rate to paying any claims. Another bonus is that the rate was cheap. The downside for me was they only covered up to 100 miles of the US/Can coast with no exceptions and no riders, so I ended up dropping them.

One claim to Allstate to replace a shredded outboard lower unit - hit an unseen submerged object. The claim was paid quickly after the adjuster consulted with my mechanic.

I have been insured by Allstate for 25 years - boat only. I have compared rates to Boat US and West - much cheaper. I have no other insurance with Allstate. I have made 2 claims in the last 7 years totalling about 9k (both incidences out of my control) - none before that. No increase in premiums.
A friend had his '' 75 Ericson 35 on Allstate. Above decks this boat was rough. He lost steerage coming into a harbor and went on the rocks - total loss. They gave him close to 30k.

I have had Allstate for years and only filed one claim where I had a tree fall on my boat. The claim was handled promptly and I received a fair settlement.
